Actors Comedy StudioWEEK 1 - TOP TEN CHARACTERS OF COMEDY with ACS Co-Founder, Gunnar Todd Rohrbacher Gunnar will discuss Comedic Archetypes & Character Development for TV & Film. WEEK 2 - SUPERIOR SITCOM SCRIPT ANALYSIS PT. I With ACS Co-Founder, Lauren Marie Bertoni Lauren will introduce the class to ACS's exclusive iCAMERA method of breaking down a script for immediate success. Learn to use the scene structure of Sitcoms to your advantage, write Want Statements that ignite you into action and accurately attach them to the arc of the scene every time, use Intentions with mastery, and map out a deep Emotional Journey that will keep your performance exciting to watch. WEEK 3 - SUPERIOR SITCOM SCRIPT ANALYSIS PT. II With ACS Co-Founder, Lauren Marie Bertoni In the second week of Superior Sitcom Script Analysis, Lauren will go further into understanding what's in the text. Students will learn to develop substantial relationships to other characters, memories, locations and objects in an instant. She will also empower students with an overview of Operative Words and how identifying them makes your audition significantly more powerful. In total, these two weeks will teach actors how to uplift their work to consistently undeniable and bookable, not just passable. WEEK 4 - MULTI-CAMERA VS. SINGLE CAMERA AUDITION TECHNIQUE With Gunnar and Lauren There is a difference between auditioning for single & multi-camera comedies. We can explain it clearly and help you practice the nuanced but extremely important distinction. Finally learn how to incorporate the difference into your audition, avoid the most common mistakes and use the technical aspects of auditioning to blow your competition out of the water. Live callbacks are becoming increasingly rare. Your only shot might be a digital recording of your first take. If you don't know how to "crush it" in the frame and work with shot composition, your chances of booking decrease dramatically. We will teach you how to make every comedy audition - comedy OR drama - count. You will be assigned your scene and partner for live multi-camera shoot night.
