I recently came across this website and thought it would be a great idea to share this with all of you out there.

This site is pretty awesome because you can search it in so many ways. You can search by country, state, and province, but also by characteristics of each speaker, such as ethnicity, age, and occupation. You can even research single phrases from transcriptions.

Once you find what you are looking for, you can then listen to the streaming audio while reading the transcription and commentary. All samples have one-line descriptions that show gender, age, year of birth, ethnicity and location.

This is really awesome for all of you who want to research a dialect for your role. You can simply go to the country of origin on their map, click on the bubble and listen to the person speak. If it is a larger country you can even select specific part of the country that you want to sample. Once you're on the sample page, you can play and pause the audio and try to repeat what you hear.

Good luck and have fun.
